Background on Grace Farms "Our farm was originally purchased in 1976 with just making ponds and raising baitfish as our goal. There were many evergreens in places but it had no buildings and had been left by the previous owner to go fallow on the low grounds with overgrown spruce and red pines on high ground. We have worked the land since 1977 selling tree-tops that already existed as inexpensive Christmas trees. There was an overwhelming support of the Christmas trees in 1977, so we began to learn how to correctly replant, fertilize, fight weeds and pests and how to shape the trees. We joined the Christmas Tree Farmers Association of New York, Inc. in 1979, and have been active members ever since. Our farm is currently on the list of growers who proudly promote the "Pride of New York" program (producing quality farm goods in New York State)".
