Mary Fowler...main dog trainer of Grace Farms

Mary Fowler graduated from the State University College at Cortland with a Masters of Science in Education. She taught High School Biology several years. Mary married John in 1973. By 1976 they had saved enough money to buy some of the land that was to become "Grace Farms". By that time Mary had adopted and trained 2 hybrid Labradors and because of the great trainability she saw in those dogs, became interested in acquiring some purebred Labradors. In 1984 after several incorrect choices in Labrador lines she finally acquired a quality dog to breed. "Liberty's Gracefarm Freedom JH, CDX" bred by Nancy Opie of Round Lake. All Mary's present dogs and started dogs for sale go back to "Freedom". They mirror her sound structure for work, excellent health and great trainability. Since 1986, Mary has trained her own and several hundred clients' Retrievers to do just about anything, from hunting pheasant and duck, to skijoring, competing for obedience, hunting and agility titles in American Kennel Club events. Mary trained the first Curly-Coated Retriever with an AKC Championship to his AKC Master Hunter title( CH Soft Maple's O'Dark Thirty MH) She has bred/trained and exhibited a daughter and a son of "Freedom" to a Dog World Magazine Award (Grace Farms Special Delivery CD,CDX,JH,SH,MH,, and a High Labrador Retriever in Trial (Grace Farms Mind Games CD,CDX,JH,SH,MH) while keeping a busy schedule of training and showing client dogs. In November 2005, Mary's hunting, obedience and agility dog:
Augustus' Ode to Grace Farms CD,JH,SH,NA,NAJ,NAP,NAJP,OA,WC ("Tillie") bred by Mary Kobis out of "Freedom" working-companion lines, took a 2nd place in the Labrador Retriever National Specialty in Rhode Island. In October of 2007, "Tillie" took a first place in her obedience class at the Labrador Retriever Specialty held in Michigan! Presently Tillie is semi-retired and helps train our young pups that they must respect their elders. We have one Tillie son left for sale. He is especially good with quartering close to his hunting owner, soft mouthed and has had 3 years of cross training in agility, obedience and bird (water and upland) hunting for competition. He is an EIC carrier, is CNM clear, and we want to sell him where his abilities and energy are NEEDED for working in agility or obedience or hunting. Excellent with other dogs and kids and pets. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. Priority given to AKC competitors. Call Us at 315-668-1195
